Please contact us at hello@licensurepath.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
As clinical supervisors, we guide you through your first 3000 hours of work as a professional counselor or social worker. Together we review cases, discuss theoretical approaches, practice clinical skills, and navigate ethical challenges. This clinical supervision is a requirement of the Pennsylvania state board.
With our combined expertise, we are able to provide tailored mentorship on whatever path your clinical work takes you. Whether you want to work at an addictions clinic, run a community behavioral health agency, or build your own business, we can help you. This targeted focus on professional development is missing from most clinical programs.
You must be applying to Pennsylvania's State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors in order to participate in Licensure Path.
Licensure Path costs $150 per week, payable at the start of each month. A deposit of $500 is required prior to the first session. Discounts are available for advance payment.
That wasn't a question! But it is true, other supervisors are available at a cheaper rate in Pennsylvania. And just as a client should experience good rapport with their therapist, we believe the supervision relationship is also built on excellent rapport. If you have met a supervisor you "click" with, you should choose them! At Licensure Path you will have the benefit of working with two exceptional clinicians who can guide you in different directions, depending on your career goals. Plus our professional development workshops and self-care development are special add-ons that few other supervision programs offer.
In the state of Pennsylvania you must complete 3000 hours of supervised therapy before applying for your license. If you are working a full-time job seeing approx. 20 clients per week, this is completed in 2-3 years. (The state will give you up to 6 years, but we'll help you get there as quickly as possible!)
Licensure Path is designed for clinicians who have are seeing clients in a clinical capacity (such as a hospital, rehab, agency, private practice, PHP, or IOP).
While we are excited to provide you with supervision and professional development services, we do not currently have any openings for employment at our respective organizations.
Due to the close nature of the cohort model (much like a therapy group or internship team) we do not allow partial attendance. You will find that your cohort grows together and becomes an important part of your "consultation constellation" throughout your career.
We are looking for participants who have a social justice orientation and are openly anti-racist and lgbtq-affirming. We expect that you will are working toward a full case-load of clients We ask that your employer provides written permission for the supervisors to review cases in confidence, and we will ask you to disclose your pre-licensed status to your clients. You will be required to carry professional liability insurance.
Pre-licensed social workers and counselors who have a sense of humor and a drive for success!
